DC's Local Rent Supplement Program (LRSP) is a District-funded rental assistance program administered by the DC Housing Authority (DCHA). LRSP tenants receive vouchers that pay the difference between 30% of household income and the unit's rent (up to the payment standard). Unlike NYC's CityFHEPS, LRSP is NOT portable outside DC — LRSP holders must rent within District boundaries.

Who qualifies for LRSP
LRSP is targeted at extremely low-income DC residents (typically below 30% of area median income), with priority for households at risk of homelessness, seniors, and disabled applicants. Eligibility is determined by DCHA in coordination with DC DHS.
