No source-of-income protection in effect
Tennessee does not protect Housing Choice Voucher holders from source-of-income discrimination. TN state law has no SOI protection, and the state legislature has repeatedly preempted local anti-discrimination measures. A landlord can legally decline a voucher applicant. Voucher tenants remain a solid financial choice for landlords who want guaranteed monthly rent — the choice is yours to make, either way.
